I’m a little late–technically, the first day of spring happened over last weekend. Around here the daffodils are already in full bloom. But there’s nothing wrong with an extended celebration, is there? 🙂
Today’s post is really just a reminder that if you go to this page on my website and scroll to the bottom, you can find a free short story celebrating the beginning of spring. Historically, the first day of spring was known as Ostara, a holiday that has become our modern-day Easter. Easter this year isn’t until mid-April, of course, but I’ve noticed some houses already have their pastel egg decorations up!
I feel a bit like I’ve been running behind all month long–not just in celebrating spring, but in all my work and to-do lists. Spring is supposed to be a time of starting new projects and planting new seeds, but maybe I took that idea a little too far this year! I’m feeling tired already.
And so, on that note, here’s my second reminder for the day: even there’s a new season beginning and new garden projects to start and lots of work to do, don’t forget to rest! 🙂
