Cozy Sparks: Interactive Workshops

The best learning, in my opinion, is hands-on and relevant. For these workshops, I don’t need any supplies–though a powerpoint slideshow is optional, and if you have your own writing materials, that’s a bonus! My primary focus here is inspiring my audience to make new connections and see the world (or perhaps their writing skills) in a new light.

Topics include:

  • blending genres
  • character creation
  • designing a writing practice

And of course, I can tailor any program to fit your needs–be it time-wise, space-wise, or otherwise, I’m quite flexible.

Cozy Tales: Lectures

Much as I enjoy interactive workshops, I do have experience lecturing in many fields as well. And I recognize that not everyone wants to take part in a group activity! So, I’m happy to give a more formal presentation on my experiences and other areas of interest.

  • fairy tale retellings
  • development of the “cozy” mystery
  • So You Want to Write a Book
  • things to consider when picking a publishing route
