Really, we could consider this “part two” of my Wednesday post about branding. That actually created a lot of conversation, and as a result I’ve changed a few things around the blog–things I’ll explain shortly . . .

But first, I do have to apologize that, once again, this Friday post is more news-y than “fun fact”-y. We’ll be back to the regular schedule next week, promise. 😉

Okay, on to business! So, after Wednesday’s post, I was called out for two things: a) not having an easy way to sign up for the blog itself, and b) frequently posting on IG/FB as if I was writing a blog post. (And I say “called out” in a very loving way, because both comments came from people who know me well, and–let’s face it–they’re right!) 😀

The blog sign-up thing could be a whole post in itself, and it may well be on some Wednesday in the future. Suffice it to say, I’d always assumed that only my dad and grandmother actually want to hear from me twice a week, haha. I figured the twice-a-month newsletter was more most people’s speed! But my newsletter and my blog posts are different beasts, so upon reflection, I completely get how a newsletter subscriber might also want a blog subscription. Or someone might want one without the other. So, long story short, both options are now available. Just scroll below and take a look!

Now, as for me writing blog posts on social media . . . this mostly concerns my Friday Fears posts. For those of you who are blog readers only, I’ve taken to sharing something I’m scared of on IG every Friday. And, because it’s me, those posts tend to end up as essays. 😉 I started writing “Friday Fears” because I wanted to share my actual self with readers–and I kept the posts going because I found that a lot of friends could relate to the fears I expressed. I think it’s valuable to recognize those things and face fears. So, I’m going to keep up the Friday Fears . . . but now they’ll be occasional blog posts on Wednesdays. Which means they need a new name. We’ll get to that another day, haha.

Bottom line: moving forward, you can . . .

  1. Subscribe to just the blog, if you like. I’ll include a link at the bottom of each new post.
  2. Also subscribe to the newsletter, just in case. 😉
  3. Expect to hear some more vulnerable musings from me on occasional Wednesday posts.

And with that, maybe, we’re done with website & blog changes for 2023. (Hahaha, famous last words!)

Or, you can subscribe to the blog itself, to make sure you never miss an upcoming release. You can also do both! Either way, I’ll never share your info, and I’m looking forward to sharing with you again. 🙂
